New Zealandcricketer Daniel Vettori's name has been suggested by Kohli but there was no confirmation yet if the Indian board is seriously considering it.

Daniel Vettori, who is currently the head coach of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore and Big Bash League side Brisbane Heat, could find himself in the running for the position of India's national coach.

The 37-year-old former left-arm spinner retired from international cricket following New Zealand's loss to Australia in the final of the 2015 World Cup in Melbourne.
