New Delhi: Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina gets a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi after her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She arrived here on Friday Sheikh Hasina is on her four day visit to India, she will be discussing bilateral realtions with PM Modi later, this was her third visit in three years. She paid her respect to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
It's expected that two Asian leaders will discuss the framework on nuclear energy agreement which will provide for extensive cooperation in the sector, including setting up of nuclear reactors in Bangladesh by India. It is also expected that India to announce a line of credit of $500 million to Bangladesh for military supplies.
The two sides will be signing at least 25 pacts in various key sectors. Although the Teesta water sharing issues is likely to be dropped."It will be a visit without water" said officials. The Bangladesh PM will also visit Ajmer on Sunday and meet Indian business leaders.
Sheikh Hasina also met EAM Sushama Swaraj on Friday after she arrives India. By breaking all the protocols PM Modi reaches Palam technical air force base to personally receive Bangladesh PM.
Today on Saturday evening PM Modi and Sheikh Hasina will be attending 'Sommanona Ceremony' to honour Indian martyrs who lost their lives during Bangladesh liberation war.
