New Delhi: Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 7 Lok kalyan Marg in Delhi on Monday Morning and discussed about the ongoing law and order situation in the state hit by stone pelters and the low voting done in Srinagar in the recent by poll.
"Modi ji has repeatedly said that he would follow Vajpayee ji's footsteps, whose policy is of reconciliation not confrontation" said Mehbooba Mufti after PM Meet to the media.
Mufti said dialogue was necessary to resolve the volatile situation in militancy-hit Kashmir Valley, which has been reeling due to street protests since the death of militant leader Burhan Wani last July.
Mehbooba Mufti said Prime Minister has assured her that the central government will take necessary steps to improve the situation in the state.
