Flood alert issued in Uttar Pradesh

heavy rain U.P Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)�: Uttar pradesh has been announced alert for heavy rain falls in districts of U.P after major�heavy rain falls from past two days. All the �major rivers are in spate and have inundated�large swathes of land. Rivers like Sharda and Ghaghra have crossed danger mark in Lakhimpur Khiri and Barabanki, the flood threat looms large over several districts. According to report 11 people have lost their lives in rain related accidents in different parts of the state in last two days. The flood posts established to help the affected people have started working in various districts including Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Khiri, Basti and Bahraich. District administration has declared flood alert in 12 more villages, when he has seen water of bulging ganga has entered into Rasulpur village of Amroha. Whereas, in Kushinagar, river Budhi Gandak is in spate due to water released from Balmikinagar barrage and continuous rain in upper reaches of Nepal. Though still below danger mark, river Ganga is rising in Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi inundating low lying areas. (ANI)
