Helicopter crashes, seven killed in Nepal

Company officials said helicopter 9N-AKA lost contact at 1 p.m. It was flying from Gorkha district to Kathmandu. (IANS) According to the sources, it has been confirmed that missing helicopter is crashed and seven people is killed.�At least seven persons, including an infant, were killed on Monday when a helicopter enroute to Kathmandu crashed, officials said. Nuwakot Chief District Officer Bishnu Prasad Pokhrel told Radio Kantipur that all passengers aboard the ill-fated helicopter were killed and their dead bodies were found scattered across the crash site. Helicopter owner Fishtail Air also confirmed the crash. According to Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal spokesperson Devendra KC, the last contact with the Eurocopter AS350B2 was at 1 p.m. The Kathmandu-bound plane was ferrying a mother of a five-day old child and their relatives for treatment.(IANS)
