Tahlka news Bureau, Chandigarh: The Chandigarh administration on Wednesday clarified that they don't intend to ban miniskirts at discoth�ques in the city. Holding a press conference, Home secretary of the Union Territory, Anurag Agarwal said,"We have not banned miniskirts. No such dress code has been prescribed in the policy framed by the Chandigarh administration recently." Earlier in the day, reports had stated that the Chandigarh administration has decided to ban short skirts in discoth�ques. The policy of Controlling of Places of Public Amusement, 2016, curtailed the bar timings from 2 AM to 12 midnight, with effect from April 1. The social media was flooded with angry reactions from people terming the policy 'sexist'.
