Lucknow: As the whole world was celebrating International Women's day on 8th March the oldest club of lucknow 'Rotary Club' chartered in 1937 also celebrated the auspicious day with women achievers from different walks of life for their distinguished work and efforts. Club President Dr. Col. Pratap Tiwari congratulates and felicitated women for their work done in distinguished area.
Founder of 'Ehsaas Foundation' Ms. Shachi Singh spoke about her journey rehabilitation of street and runaway of children at the Lucknow railway station that how things goes on and what else can come on way which you have to deal with it, Another radiant lady Anupma Singh of 'Anupma Foundation' also shared her journey on the occasion of International Women's day breaking the social norms in personal and professional life and work done in the field of female foeticide.
Budding entrepreneur Saba Siddiqui too spoke about her life journey from corporate field to social work, last but not the least Social activist & UP NRI award winner of 2017 Pratibha Shalini also added her life journey with IWD in 'Rotary Club' she spokes that how she has worked in the field of bridging the gender equality in education. Every panelist inspired the gathering and reinstated the belief that each one of us can make our dream a reality, despite the many obstacles and rise from ashes after the many setbacks.
The club also recognises the work done by rotarians is making a difference in the society as well as in the country too, Founder of 'Samarth Foundation' Mrs. Divya Shukla, Mrs. Niti Dubey, Dr. Shilpi Srivastav and Mrs. Abha Saxena also attended the event organised by the club. At the last vote of thank was delivered by Mr. Ajay Anand.
