New Delhi: On Saturday morning, suspected Chinese helicopters flown over Indian Territory near the Chinese border in Chamoli district of Uttaranchal. As soon as it was known to the officer their ears stood up. They started investigating the matter.
Chamoli Superintendent of police Tripthi Bhatt said that, at 9:15 in the morning, a helicopter was seen violating Indian border and flown above Brahoti area. It remains inside Indian Border for about four minutes. She said, 'such incident has happen before. However, we cannot say that the violation was done deliberately for the purpose of getting the reconnaissance or it was in unknowingly done.' The Superintendent of Police said that investigation have been started to ascertain the details of the incident.
Let us tell you that the border dispute between India and China has been tense for the past 40 years, although there has never been a major conflict between the two. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a visit to Russia last week, repeated this point and said on the question of differences with India on China's 'One Belt One Road project', "It is true that we have border dispute with China, but in the last 40 years there was no single bullet fired on this dispute."
