New Delhi: A day after a report is filed by Gujarat BJP MP KC Patel of being honey trapped by a women. The police today detained the women and is currently being questioned.
However the woman on Monday claimed to be sexually exploited, wile Patel refused the charges against himself and filed a complaint against the women instead.
According to what Patel told the police the he was 'mislead' by the women who took him to a residence in Ghaziabad where he was offered a spiked drink by her. He alleged that the women took objectionable picture and made obscene videos after he was sedated.
The BJP MP said that the women operated a gang and that she threatened to make pictures public if he did not pay Rs 5 crore.
Patel said told the police that the women operated a gang that threatened parliamentarians and later blackmailed them. Following the allegations the Delhi Police formed a team to nab the gang members.
However, hours after Patel's complaint the woman identified herself as a lawyer, said that she was sexually exploited by Patel. The said that she made the video to protect herself and not to blackmail Patel.
She alleged that Patel was trying to deflect attention from his own offenses by making false claims.
"We will not go to details, but have registered a case with the North Avenue police station of extortion. Previously the woman had filed a similar but it was withdrawn. No case of rape ha been filed. It appears to be an organized crime," said an official from Delhi Police.
Asking about the how the woman and Patel interacted at first, the police without going into detail said they will be submitted in the court.
According to sources, the woman had filed an FIR of sexual assault against a Haryana politician. However, in her statement recorded before the judicial magistrate she retracted. Investigation further revealed that she had alleged sexual assault by several politicians.
