Shahabuddin acquitted by Jamshedpur court in 1989 triple murder case

New Delhi : The Jamshedpur court on Monday acquitted all charged against the RJD leader from Siwan, Mohammad Shahabhddin in connection with the 25-year-old triple murder case registered in Jamshedpur district.


Mohammad Shahabuddin was charged with the murder case of Anand Rao Janardan Chaubey and Pradeep Mishra on February 2, 1989, near Tata Steel Powe house in Jugasalai police station area.


Shahabuddin who is facing 45 criminal cases against him, is currently in Tihar jail. The Supreme Court on 15 February ordered his shifting from Siwan jail in Biahar to Tihar jail in New Delhi.


Shahabuddin was earlier given bail on September 7 by the Patna High Court, and was released from Bhagalpur jail on September 10. He was in jailed for 11 years in connection with dozens of cases against him.
