NEET 2016: NEET ordinance to defer medical entrance exam by a year

neet-supreme-courtTahlka news Bureau New Delhi:�The Union Cabinet on Friday cleared an ordinance that defers the implementation of the NEET exam for admissions to under-graduate medical courses for a year in India. The ordinance, which puts on hold a Supreme Court May 9 ruling ordering the implementation of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) from this year, was cleared in a cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, official sources said. The first phase of NEET was taken by nearly six lakh students on May 1, the second phase is due on July 24.
