Two bodies were pulled out from the debris of a collapsed Bhiwandi building on Sunday, while three other people were rescued alive. The deaths include the building owner Sajjanlal Gupta, 60, and his wife Satyawanti Sajjan Gupta, 55. The National Disaster Response force (NDRF) has reached the spot and the rescue operation is in progress. Five people are still feared trapped under the debris after a two storey Mahadev Gupta building which collapsed in Bhiwandi on Sunday morning. This is the second such accident in the district this week. The building had two wings and the middle part collapsed. The fire brigade later demolished the remaining portion. The building, which is in the Navin Taneri area beside the Vinod Dying Company, collapsed at around 7.30 am. Sunil Zalke, public relation officer of Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation, said, �There are around ten people in the building as per our record. The NDRF and fire brigade has removed five people, in which two are dead. The remaining three are injured though out of danger. The rescue operation is in progress.� Zalke added, �The building was in extremely dangerous condition. We had served evacuation notice to the building and also cut off its water connection. Three families including the owner still continued to reside in the building.� Last week, a three-storied building collapsed in Bhiwandi, killing eight and injuring 22.
