CM Yogi: Aadhar card not mandatory to get daily

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a meeting on Wednesday, instructing the Food and Services Department to ensure that no eligible person is deprived of receiving ration in absence of Aadhaar card. He asked the department to make sure no one leaves behind in the process having a Ration card.

The CM also told the Food and Supplies Department to launch a campaign for avoiding duplication of Ration cards in order to stop food theft and to provide complete supply of grains in the state.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Food and Logistics of the State, Shri Atul Garg.


The Food and Supplies Department have recently issued the new Ration card holder list for families in Uttar Pradesh.


The Chief Minister also expressed his displeasure over the fact that so far only 4 lakh duplicate and ineligible people have been cancled. Giving instructions to expedite this work, he said, " inadequate, incomplete and duplicate ration cards were found during the campaigning in the state."


He have instructed that the work should not stop until all eligible candidates having problem in the formation of Ration cards in the state are covered.
